Анотація: The paper presents some results of the research concerning the availability and effectiveness of social protection in Ukraine for working-age people living with HIV (PLHIV) and members of their families. The research in Ukraine was carried out by the Social Expertise Centre at the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) of Ukraine with the financial and technical support of the International Labour Organisation (ILO). This research was a part of the global research conducted in 2012-2013 according to the ILO Programme on HIV/AIDS and the World of Work (ILO/AIDS) to gain the information about the life situation of working-age people living with HIV and theirfamilies, as well as about the current state of social security for these persons. Ukraine was one of the four countries participating in this global research, together with Guatemala, Indonesia and Rwanda.
